As per the decision taken, this year's annual examinations of standard 12 science and general stream conducted by Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will be held on Thursday 1st July in a regular manner. Repeater students of Std. 10 will also be examined. In the current Corona situation in the state, an important decision has been taken to conduct Std-12 board examinations in strict compliance with Corona's SOP.

More than 6 students will appear for the exam in the stateEducation Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama and Minister of State for Education Vibhavari Dave have given details in this regard. A total of 6.83 lakh students across the state, including 1.40 lakh students in Std-12 science stream and 5.43 students in general stream, will appear for the exam.

There will be a 3 hour examination of standard 12 science stream
Instructions have been given to conduct board examinations of standard 12 with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocol in these special circumstances of transition of corona. The Education Minister said that this examination will be conducted every year as per the established system of Science Stream Part-1 by 50 marks Multiple Choice Type (MCQ) OMR method and Part-2 Descriptive Written Form 50 marks examination will be held for 3 hours. Similarly, in Std-12 general stream, according to the system, a 3-hour examination of descriptive written form of 100 marks will be held.

Order to strictly follow Corona's guidelines
The Department of Education will also ensure that social distance is maintained among the examinees, mandatory use of masks and adherence to the control guidelines of cores including sanitizers and thermal guns at the examination centers.

Emphasis will be placed on providing an examination center to the student near the school
The Education Minister said that the Chief Minister had made a persuasive suggestion that the entire examination system should be set up with the concern that the transmission of corona would not spread among the students as well as their future would not be ruined. Accordingly, Chief Minister Rupani has also taken a student-friendly decision to increase the number of examination centers for the purpose of providing examination centers close to her school during the Corona period. For this purpose, the number of examination centers in the state will be increased this year. In which talukas sufficient number of students will be available and if there is no examination center in such taluka then examination center will be started there.
